This processed data is used solely to personalize your registry.

If you interact with us on a social media platform using your social media account (e.g., Facebook or X), we receive personal information about you from such platforms such as your name, email address, and gender. - To save or protect an individual's vital interest. We may process your information when necessary to save or protect an individual's vital interest, such as to prevent harm.
- To generate AI-powered personalized product recommendations based on user preferences. We use your questionnaire responses (event type, style preferences, lifestyle habits, budget range, and brand affinities) to generate personalized product recommendations through our AI system. This information is processed by OpenAI's GPT-4 API to create a curated gift registry tailored to your specific needs and taste. The AI analyzes your preferences to suggest products that match your style, budget, and living situation.
- To analyze user-provided photos and Pinterest boards to determine style preferences. When you optionally provide photos or Pinterest board URLs, we process these images using OpenAI's GPT-4 Vision API to extract style characteristics such as color palettes, aesthetic themes, and design preferences. This visual analysis helps us better understand your taste and generate more accurate product recommendations. Pinterest board URLs are fetched to retrieve publicly available pin images for analysis. Uploaded photos are temporarily processed and not permanently stored after analysis is complete.
- To create, store, and manage gift registries. We use your account information and questionnaire responses to create and store your gift registry in our database. This includes your registry title, event date, product selections, and optional cover photo. Your registry data is stored to allow you to edit your selections, share your registry with gift-givers via a public link, and track which items have been purchased. Gift-givers can view your public registry without creating an account.
3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason (i.e., legal basis) to do so under applicable law, like with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services to enter into or fulfill our contractual obligations, to protect your rights, or to fulfill our legitimate business interests.If you are located in the EU or UK, this section applies to you.

We may process your information where we believe it is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations, such as to cooperate with a law enforcement body or regulatory agency, exercise or defend our legal rights, or disclose your information as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.

Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider. When you create a registry, you may share it publicly via a unique link. Gift-givers who access your registry link can view your registry title, event date, selected products, and cover photo without creating an account.
